Day 79: Funnel Live, Google Fixed, Ads Rolling

It’s Tuesday the 18th, Day 79, and after several days of battling with a silent Google Ads campaign and finalising the funnel structure, today finally brought some real movement.

I discovered the problem holding Google Ads back, updated the bidding strategy, got impressions starting to build, and — biggest win — I fully built out the new funnel and turned on the first campaign.

Sales also rebounded nicely today, putting us back on track.

Strategy Breakdown

1. Google Ads: Finally Moving

For days the demand generation campaign refused to start — zero impressions, zero spend. After digging around the support resources, I found Google’s built-in

Ads Advisor AI tool.

It analysed my campaign and flagged the real issue:

I had set it to target a specific CPA without giving Google any baseline conversion data to learn from.

The fix: switch bidding to “Maximise Conversions.”

Now the campaign is in learning mode and should begin showing impressions over the next 24–48 hours. Fingers crossed the data starts flowing.

2. The New Funnel is Fully Built

The entire “Your First Song” funnel structure is now complete:
• Main offer page
• Order bump
• First upsell
• Two downsell paths
• Membership trial alternative
• Final deep-discount downsells

All pages are created and linked. Now it’s about refining copy and testing performance.

3. First Ads Live

I’ve launched the first campaign at around £80 per day to give Meta enough volume to exit the learning phase quickly.

The goal: 30–50 conversions in week one.

CPMs are high for now — normal for a brand-new campaign — but will improve as data accumulates.

I currently have four creatives active and plan to add more tomorrow, including the beginner-level video ads I’ve been preparing to film.

Focus

The entire focus right now is moving this new funnel from “new and expensive” into “optimised and scalable.”

Once it clears the learning phase, the real split testing begins — ads, hooks, angles, bumps, and upsells. The next 3–7 days of data will be crucial.

Insight of the Day

Sometimes the problem isn’t the ad, the funnel, or the offer — it’s a hidden platform setting quietly blocking the whole process.

Today was a reminder that diagnosing issues is as much a skill as building funnels.

Once the Google Ads bidding mismatch was resolved, the campaign immediately moved into a workable state.

Small adjustments often unlock the entire system.
