Day 70: Building New Engaged Audiences

It’s November 9th — Day 70 — and while I’m still away in Idaho wrapping up a few days of workshops and networking, things continue to move along nicely.

Even without hands-on work this week, it’s been a valuable period for reflection, planning, and quietly building momentum behind the scenes.

Daily Numbers

Yesterday brought another steady, profitable day:

  • Sales: $707

  • Ad Spend: $491

  • Profit: $216

Nothing groundbreaking, but staying in profit is always a good sign — especially when you’re not directly managing the campaigns.

This consistency shows that the funnel and ad systems are now holding their own, even while I’m away.

By 10 a.m. local time (around 5 p.m. UK) today, sales were already at $573, which suggests we’re likely on track for another positive day.

Building the Engagement Audience

The top-of-funnel engagement campaign — designed to build an audience for the “Your First Song” beginner offer — continues to deliver great value at minimal cost.

Here’s the progress so far:

  • Thruplays (15+ seconds viewed): 419 yesterday

  • Total audience size built: ~1,700 people

Once that audience grows to around 2,000+, it’ll be large enough to test retargeting with the beginner offer, and measure whether pre-engagement leads to better conversions and lower acquisition costs.

This method — warming up audiences before showing them an offer — is becoming an increasingly powerful way to improve ROI.

Once back home, I’ll test this theory properly by layering the retargeting campaign over the top of this growing pool of engaged viewers.

Reflections from the Road

These workshops have been a fantastic opportunity to connect with other marketers and exchange ideas about funnel strategy, ad testing, and scaling sustainably.

I’ve come away with pages of notes and fresh ideas I can’t wait to put into action once I’m back in the UK.

Next week will mark the start of implementing those insights — refining creative assets, expanding ad variants, and optimising the new beginner funnel for consistent growth.
