It’s November 8th — Day 69 — and I’m still in Idaho for the marketing workshops.
Today’s update is short but significant, as I’ve made a few strategic moves with my campaigns — including pausing one of the funnels to regroup and plan its proper relaunch.
Daily Numbers
Yesterday brought a solid recovery after the previous day’s dip:
Sales: $880
Ad Spend: $530
Profit: $350
That’s a strong bounce back and a reminder that consistency often comes from knowing when to pause, reflect, and adjust rather than just pushing harder.
This morning, by 9 a.m. local time, sales had already reached $467, so the day is off to an excellent start and likely to end comfortably in profit again.
Pausing the “Your First Song” Funnel
After a quick review, I decided to pause the new beginner funnel (the “Your First Song” campaign). It wasn’t a failure — in fact, it was quite the opposite.
This initial test was meant to answer one key question: Is this funnel viable?
The short answer: Yes.
Here’s what I learned:
The funnel generated around 10 sales, proving the concept works.
It was roughly break-even, meaning there’s a clear path to profitability with optimisation.
But at this stage, the funnel lacks:
A full suite of creative ads
A structured budget
A working upsell sequence
So, rather than wasting money testing an incomplete funnel, I’ve hit pause.
Once I’m back in the UK, the plan is to rebuild it properly — with multiple ad variants, refined copy, and a complete upsell flow.
The test served its purpose. Now it’s time to scale it strategically.
Reflection and What’s Next
The workshops here in Idaho continue to be a great environment for brainstorming and connecting with like-minded marketers.
Every session is sparking ideas on how to improve conversion strategy, retargeting, and audience segmentation for both my funnels.
Once I return to the UK, I’ll be mapping out a full launch plan for the beginner funnel — including:
New ad sets and creatives tailored to beginner motivations.
Optimised upsells to increase average order value.
A clearer budget strategy for sustainable scaling.
It’s all about shifting from quick testing to structured building.
