Day 20: Profitable Day, Easy Weekend – Let the Split-Test Run

Day 20 closed with another profitable result. On the 19th, sales hit $858, with $442 ad spend, leaving a $415 profit.

And by 6 p.m. today, sales had already reached $659, with plenty of time left in the evening for more.

It’s reassuring to see the funnel continuing to perform while we’re mid-test — a reminder that sometimes the smartest move is simply to step back and let the data accumulate.

The Plan: Do Less, Learn More

For this weekend, I’m taking the rare step of doing almost nothing. With the VSL split test running, there’s little point in tinkering. The priority now is patience.

It’s tempting to keep tweaking, but meaningful data takes time. A funnel isn’t won or lost in a single day — it’s the trends across hundreds or even thousands of visitors that matter.

So for the next 48 hours, this is a 10-minute-a-day business: checking in on the numbers, then letting the machine run.

What’s Coming Next Week

Next week, though, the pace picks up again. I’ll be focusing on:

  • A live-action VSL

    • Moving beyond text and AI-powered slides to test a more human, direct video.

    • The goal: see if face-to-camera storytelling outperforms animated text.

  • A new Facebook campaign

    • Fresh creative and a new angle to keep ad performance strong.

  • A results dashboard

    • A central hub for tracking key funnel metrics: cost per acquisition, average order value, ROAS, and lifetime value.

    • This will make it easier to see trends without digging through layers of reports.

  • Follow-up funnel automation

    • Turning the “Academy Spotlight” test into a permanent automated sequence.

    • This will ensure that leads who don’t buy upfront keep seeing relevant offers over time.

The Takeaway

Day 20 is a reminder that scaling a funnel isn’t about constant busywork.

Sometimes the best move is to pause, step back, and let the tests run their course.

This is the balance of building funnels: experiment → measure → refine.

And next week, we’ll be ready for the next round of refinements.
