Day 2: Highest Day $1,456. Building One Lead at a Time.

Yesterday brought in $1,456, the highest single day I’ve ever had.

But today isn’t about chasing spikes. It’s about building something steady, sustainable, and strong: the lead flow that fuels long-term growth.

The Highs and Lows of Sales Days.

Yesterday felt incredible. To start this challenge with my best day ever was the kind of motivation you dream of.

But if there’s one truth about online sales, it’s this: no two days look the same.

This morning at 11am, sales are sitting at $233. Still good, but far from yesterday’s peak. And that’s exactly the point.

“Sales fluctuate wildly. What matters isn’t the single day—it’s the 14-day, even 30-day view that tells the real story.”

Facebook ads constantly shuffle your offer in front of different segments of your audience. Some days, it clicks with the right people. Other days, it doesn’t. The trick is to zoom out, stay calm, and trust the bigger picture.

The Power of Leads

So today, instead of focusing on daily revenue, I want to dig into the quieter—but arguably more important—part of the funnel: leads.

This side of the funnel is all about building a relationship. Instead of asking for a purchase right away, I give people something free and valuable: a classic guitar riffs tab book.

Here’s how it works:

  • Traffic Sources — Leads come from three places:

    • YouTube channel (organic content)

    • Guitar blog site (written content)

    • Retargeting ads (paid traffic from people who saw the offer but didn’t buy)

  • Opt-in Page — A simple, direct page offering the free download.

  • Thank You Page — Instant access to the tab book, plus sample lessons they can dive into straight away.

  • Email Sequence — Automated messages with more free videos, building trust and showing the value of the full course.

It’s not flashy. It’s not complicated. But it’s how strangers become subscribers—and eventually, paying customers.

Why This Matters

Not every person is ready to buy the moment they discover you. Some need to warm up, test the waters, and see if you can really help them. That’s what the lead flow is for.

And the data proves it:

  • YouTube traffic brings volume, but opt-in rates are modest.

  • Blog visitors are more familiar and engaged—nearly 1 in 4 opt in.

  • Retargeting traffic has the highest conversion, since they’ve already seen the offer.

Different sources, different behaviours—but together, they form a steady stream of leads who are more likely to buy over time.

“Most people’s funnels don’t make money at the start. It’s about learning—your audience, your message, your pages—and slowly moving those conversion rates up.”

Brick by Brick

Leads may not bring in big headlines like a $1,456 day. But they’re the bricks in the wall. They’re what turns spikes into stability, and what transforms strangers into fans who stick around.

Tomorrow, I’ll be diving into the direct offer side of the funnel—how the sales page is structured, and what happens when people go straight from ad to purchase.

But for today, I’m celebrating the quieter win: a system that builds trust, one lead at a time.
