Funnel Stability While Travelling Through Franschhoek.
Apologies for the rough video and audio quality. I’m working from a very old laptop, and the Wi-Fi situation is not exactly ideal.
That said, this is one of the realities of running an online business — the funnels don’t care where you are.
Performance Snapshot
Yesterday actually turned out to be a very respectable day. Total sales came in at $969.
Ad spend was slightly lower than usual, translating to roughly $540 in ad costs.
That left a profit of about $429 for the day. A genuinely pleasing result. Especially considering I’ve done absolutely nothing on the funnel.
No optimisations. No tweaks. No creative changes. No email adjustments. Just letting everything run.
The Value of Stability
This phase of the journey is unintentionally demonstrating something important.
Well-built funnels can operate surprisingly well without constant interference.
Over the last few days, my involvement has been minimal:
– Checking support queries
– Quick performance checks
– Ensuring nothing is broken
– Roughly twenty minutes per day.
That’s it.
And yet the system continues producing sales and profit. This is exactly the type of behaviour you want from a scalable model.
Not something that collapses the moment you step away.
Daily Volatility Remains Normal
Today, however, is shaping up quite differently. We’re sitting at 494 at six o’clock in the evening.
Clearly a much slower day. But again, this is entirely normal.
Funnels rarely move in straight lines. You get strong days. Flat days. Unexpected dips. Unexpected spikes.
The real focus is always the broader trend, not any individual day.
Next Steps While Travelling
For the next few days, I’m largely remaining hands-off.
The priority is simply:
– Maintain campaign stability
– Monitor performance
– Avoid unnecessary changes
Once we reach a location where I can properly sit down and work, I’ll start revisiting:
– Creative testing
– Upsell optimisation
– Lifetime value improvements
But until then, the strategy is simple:
– Let the machine run.
– Observe.
– Collect data.
Closing Thoughts
Overall, still very much in the “steady and functioning” category. Which, when travelling, is absolutely acceptable.
I’ll check back in over the next day or two with further updates — and hopefully slightly better equipment.
