Today is Saturday the 20th of December. I didn’t post an update yesterday, so this entry covers a two-day period and is really just about reviewing what’s happened rather than making changes.
At the moment I’m not actively working on the funnels, so this is purely a numbers check and an honest assessment of where things stand.
Sales and Ad Spend Breakdown
Across the 18th and 19th combined, the numbers are not great. On the 18th, sales came in at around $798, which in normal conditions would mean roughly $250 profit.
Yesterday was much closer to break-even, probably only $20–$30 profit.
Across both days, ad spend totalled $832, with sales of around $1,121. That leaves roughly $250 profit across two days, which is very poor by the standards I’m aiming for. Margins are extremely thin at the moment.
The Real Problem: Funnel Two
Once again, the issue is clear: the second funnel is not performing. Across two full days, it produced just one sale at $37, which effectively means a loss of around $250 from that funnel alone over this period.
My original funnel is completely carrying the business right now, which isn’t where I want to be. It puts real pressure on fixing funnel two, because at the moment it’s actively dragging overall performance down.
Learning Limited and What That Means
When I checked the campaign status, the second funnel is now marked as Learning Limited.
This is a bad place to be because Facebook is not delivering the ads properly — it isn’t seeing enough conversions to optimise.
At this point there are really only two options: either you dramatically increase the budget to force conversions through, or you stop the campaign and rebuild.
Given it’s the weekend and I don’t have the time to properly fix this right now, pushing more budget into something that’s clearly broken doesn’t make sense.
Decision: Pause and Reset
So I’ve made the decision to pause the second funnel entirely. That’s disappointing, especially given the time, effort, and money already invested into it, but I’m not giving up on it.
This is a reset, not an abandonment. The plan is to come back to it on Monday with a fresh approach.
Next Steps for Funnel Two
When I restart work on this, I’ll be doing three main things:
Adding fresh creative into the campaign
Setting up a split-test landing page
Introducing a video sales letter (VSL) on the page
Right now the funnel needs something more radical to push conversion rates higher and get it out of Learning Limited. Until I can properly do that work, keeping it live just burns money.
Where Things Stand Today
As of midday today, sales are sitting around $330. With the second funnel paused, there’s a good chance today can still end in profit rather than throwing money away unnecessarily, and that alone makes the pause worthwhile.
Final Thoughts
This is one of those moments where you have to step back and be pragmatic. Running a funnel that isn’t converting just to “keep it alive” is not a strategy.
Sometimes the smartest move is to stop, rethink, and rebuild properly.
I’ll pick this back up early next week and walk through exactly what changes I make and why.
